OUR MANDATE

The gospel of Jesus needs to reach every person on earth. John 4:35 says, “Look at the fields…they are ripe for harvest.”

Light for the Lost helps share the gospel worldwide–no matter the language, culture or location–by providing critically-needed evangelism resources such as:

  • Printed literature, Bibles and tracts
  • Audio devices and language-specific programs
  • Video presentations, programs and films
  • Internet-based and -compatible content
  • Technologies (like apps) created in local heart languages

We are honored to work alongside a team of directors from 62 Assemblies of God districts and networks to raise funds designated for approved evangelism-related ministry. All Light for the Lost assistance must be used to provide resources directly related to evangelism. This is our single guiding principle.

BGMC

What is BGMC

“BGMC is the AG missions program for kids that instills a heart of compassion to reach the lost through praying, giving, and going. All funds raised through BGMC go to meet critical needs around the world such as feeding programs, water wells, Bible schools, curriculum, and whatever else a missionary needs in their part of the world.”

Did you know? Among the Assemblies of God Missionaries, most were initially called to be missionaries while they were children!

What Does BGMC Money Buy?

Our missionaries can use BGMC funds for any ministry supplies that relate to evangelism and discipleship.

  • Puppets, music, and video tapes
  • Tracts, Bibles, and literature
  • Sound systems, computers, and copy machines
  • And a whole lot more!

BGMC goes to where the need is the greatest, where the timing is the most urgent, and where people’s lives can be changed forever.  When you give to BGMC, you are helping our entire ministry team all at once!

Speed the Light

https://youth.ag.org/participate/speed-the-light/

The concept is simple: we give so others can speed the light of the gospel to a world in darkness. This is accomplished by providing the “essential transportation and creative communication” equipment for missionary evangelism. Through modern transportation, radio, television, print, audio, and digital equipment, our missionaries can help make Jesus known.

Speed the Light is the student-initiated, volunteer, charitable program that provides much-needed equipment to missionaries across the nation and in over 180 countries around the world. It began in 1944 after Ralph Harris, then head of the National Youth Ministries department, prayed for a way to give Assemblies of God students the opportunity to help missionaries in their work.

Speed the Light is still helping to disciple students to live a life of generosity as they become personally responsible for the mission of God by helping our missionaries make Jesus known throughout the world.

Speed the Light operates with one guiding principle: all assistance must go to purchase equipment directly related to evangelism (“evangelism” is defined as propagating the gospel and instructing converts). Speed the Light equipment has not been nor is presently given for promotion, solicitation, or normal administrative functions.

Simply put, we give so our missionaries can travel faster, preach clearer, and be heard louder in order for all to know Jesus.

Where The Road Ends Is Where We Begin

Serving world missionaries since 2007, Touching Nations Today Inc. (TNT) has seen thousands reached with the gospel, countless saved, and many discipled into the family of God. Whether the end of the road is literal or figurative, our first mission is to seek out the unreached, unchurched, or persecuted and love them with the living gospel of Jesus Christ.

No field too far

TNT directly serves as a sending and support ministry for missionaries operating on multiple continents, and works with ministries both domestic and abroad. We believe there is an apostolic outpouring on the Church, and with the convergence of technology, social media, and globalization there has never been a time like now to reach the lost for Christ.

Sam & Shellie Bowdoin
Area Directors for Southeast Asia

Reaching the Lost, Training the Found, Empowering the Church.

Sam and his wife, Shellie, are area directors for Southeast Asia. They provide oversight and pastoral care for 118 missionaries living in an area that spans six countries. In addition, they also direct ICI Ministries in Manila, Philippines.

Their region was hit by two devastating typhoons in November of 2020. More than 250 of our AG churches were damaged or destroyed. They needed our help and we have partnered with them in 2021 to help meet this emergency need by repairing and rebuilding their church buildings.
