Do You Know You Are Blessed?

What a move of God we had this past weekend!  I’ve heard from so many members of our church family sharing how God touched them through the message. Grace, we have entered into a marked season of blessing over our church, our families and our community.  This is what we’ve been praying for.  Let’s lean into this moment and go after God with all our hearts!

After Sunday, I felt strongly to take a moment and record a short message with Jenna from our living room that I want to share with you. I encourage you to take ten minutes to watch this.  More importantly, I want to invite you to take the message from Sunday and apply it to your home and family.  Afterwards, find a time to gather your family together and bless them as I encourage you to do in the video.

I am including written blessings you can read or use as an example to write your own to speak over your spouse, children and home.  I know for some this will feel awkward.  It’s awkward because we are more accustomed to speaking negatively from the flesh than releasing blessing from our spirit.  If you feel somewhat uncomfortable, take that as confirmation that blessing your family is more necessary than you previously realized. Trust me, this simple exercise will shift the atmosphere in your home.  I know because it has in ours!

I also welcome your feedback and testimonies.  Feel free to respond to this email.  Your comments will make their way to Jenna and me.  We look forward to celebrating with you as you enter the blessing of blessing!

Last, let me remind you that this Sunday is “Vision Sunday” followed by our annual business meeting.  I am looking forward to sharing with you many of the big wins from the past year as well as take a glimpse of where we are headed in the years to come.  If you have a Grace World shirt, be sure to wear it.  More importantly, come expecting an outpouring.  For those who cannot attend in person both the service and the business meeting will be available online here.  For those coming in person, remember to gather safely and keep in mind the CDC recommendations.

Believing For Revival,

Blessing Over Your Spouse:

I bless you today in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  May His richest blessings and favor rest upon you and our home. Know that you are pleasing in both His and my sight.  May His angels accompany you on your right hand and on your left. May your way be guarded! God’s goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of our long and healthy lives. God has determined that you shall have good success because you move in faith and in His grace. Your eyes are filled with His light and you shall see His glory. He shall keep you safely under His wings. I declare this day that you are protected and delivered from the evil of the day. You shall not stumble nor fall, for Holy Spirit has anointed your eyes to see clearly and has given you ears of the spirit to hear precisely. You will be wise in your generation. Your soul will rest in God’s peace. We shall eat the fruit of His promises in the land of the living because we have wholly trusted in the Lord our God. Our home shall be a place where you will rest in His love, find hope for tomorrow, and joy shall strengthen you as you rest upon our bed. He shall restore your soul and give you rest in the stillness and quietness of this home. In your time of prayer and devotion, the Holy Spirit shall birth a creative and powerful mind and give you sound ideas that will bring great favor upon our family. He shall give you a fresh anointing and bless your ministry with good results. The Lord is pleased with you and has placed His Name upon your forehead. As we call upon Him, He will show us great and mighty things we know not of. I bless you in Jesus’s name!

Blessing Over Your Children or Grandchildren:

I release the blessings of the Lord over you.  May His favor rest upon you and His light shine upon you.  May He be gracious unto you giving you rest and peace. Know that He has placed within you unique gifts, talents and abilities to bring honor to His name.  May you grow and flourish in those giftings with a spirit of excellence and good success. You have been placed on the earth for such a time as this to fulfill the unique call, purple and destiny the Lord has placed over your life. May the blessings of promotion, prosperity and provision run you down and over take you. May a spirit of wisdom be upon you and may the rewards of wisdom be yours.  May the Lord lead you, guide you, and direct you into His good and perfect will and keep your path straight.  I bless your ears to be attentive to His voice and that you shall know Him by name.  As you walk before Him, may you walk in courage knowing that your trust and faith is secure in Him.  I bless you with good health, strength and long life. Know that His goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life. May you serve, honor and glorify the Lord all the days of your life and be the man/woman of God that He has called you to be. I bless you in Jesus’s name.

Blessing Over Your Home:

Anoint the door posts and top of door posts, symbolizing the covering of the Blood of Jesus.

Over the Home: I declare that the (Name) family are blessed to be a blessing. Everything in our home is blessed and those who enter are blessed. May the peace and presence of Jesus mark our home. May our home be a lighthouse, a city on a hill and a beacon of hope to our neighbors and friends. Joshua 24:15, “But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

In the Bedroom: I declare blessings of good dreams and peaceful rest. My family safely rests in the shadow of the Most High knowing that He never slumbers nor sleeps, but His watchful eye is stayed upon each of us. As we wake, His mercies are new each morning. May we begin each day from a place of victory and favor.

In the Bathroom: I declare blessings of good health. As we ready ourselves for the day, may we have the mind of Christ and walk in the identity that He has set over us. May others see Jesus and our countenance reflect the attitude of Christ. May we be clothed in humility and His righteousness. and put on garments of praise.

In the Kitchen: I declare God’s blessings of provision. There will be no lack in this home. Every need will be met. I speak an abundance over the cupboards and pantry and a generous heart to give to those in need. May our table be blessed as friends and family gather to break bread in our home with glad and sincere hearts (Acts 2:4).

In the Living Room, Great Room or Den: I declare this room to be filled with joy and laughter, memories and special family moments. May the goodness of God and His faithfulness be shared and celebrated. May friends and family far and near gather for fellowship and fun.

In the Entry and Hall: I declare and come into agreement with Psalm 121:8, “the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore” knowing that as we continue to seek the Lord for direction in our lives, He will direct our paths.
