Is Your Dreamer Working?

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (Eph 3:20).

There are two things I am certain of.  The first is that there is at least one area in your life that frustrates you.  It may be something specific to you or something around you.  It is the thing you look at and say, “this could be better.”  Each of us has a different frustration.  For one, it is your personal health.  For another, your finances.  Maybe it’s your spiritual life or your relationship with your spouse or family.  It could be that you find yourself frustrated with your career path as it no longer feels fulfilling.  Where is that place for you?

The second thing I’m convinced of is this; you have not yet begun to see all God desires for you to find in that very place of frustration.  How do I know?  Because He said, He is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine. It does not matter how great your dream or desire is—His far exceeds it.

The question is, are you willing to awaken that inner dreamer and begin to ask Him for immeasurably more in your life?  If so, what needs to change to move you from where you currently are to the place He is calling you? 

There is an inner drive within each of us placed there by our creator to look at what is and imagine what could be.  It is what moved Israel from a land of captivity to the land of promise.  It is what caused David to dream of a temple where God would be worshiped in the majesty He deserves.  It was the call that caused the disciples to abandon their own careers to follow a man they had just met.  

That drive is in you as well. It is a divine frustration that gives us the courage to change and permission to believe in something better.  It’s the call of the pioneer, and I believe God is awakening a new generation of pioneers in this moment of history! 

This Sunday, we begin a new series called “Awaken The Pioneers.”  It is a message I have wanted to release for the past year.  Now is the time.  The journey starts on Sunday!

PS: Do me a favor.  Think about what is currently frustrating you.  Write it down and then prayerfully ask, “God, what are you calling me to pioneer in this area of my life?  What do I need to courage to change?”
