Israel at War: A Special Call to Prayer This Wednesday

Dear Church Family,

Our hearts have been broken as we have seen the news of the horrific atrocities committed against the Israeli people this past weekend by terrorists. This is the most devastating attack in the history of modern Israel. Over 1,000 Israelis are dead and that number continues to rise. Hundreds have been kidnapped and are being held hostage. Israel has declared war against Hamas.

These are trying times. As believers, we are instructed to pray for Israel. God‘s covenant with His nation still remains to this day. He says, “I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you” (Genesis 12:3). As a church, we stand with Israel.

Because of this, I am calling a special time of prayer this Wednesday, October 11th at 7pm in the dome. I have an important  message to share how we as the church stand in solidarity with our Jewish brothers and sisters during this time.

Israel is the timepiece to God’s calendar. Those who are discerning of the times recognize that moments like these carry great significance. I ask you to join us this Wednesday. If you are unable, I ask you to please make time on Wednesday to pray.

Praying for peace over Jerusalem and Israel,

Pastor
