It’s Time To “Light The Night”!
Matthew 5:16 says, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
We are gearing up to “Light the Night” on Monday, October 31st. On a night when the world glorifies the dark we will bring the LIGHT of the Gospel to neighborhoods all over Hernando!
This year we have three incredible locations strategically placed across the county to minister to as many families as we possibly can. We will be handing out hot dogs, water and candy, but most importantly, this gives us an opportunity to love people and share the hope of Jesus!
There are three ways you can be a part of this night:
- SERVE. Sign up to hand out candy, give out free hot dogs and be Jesus to the community at one of our three large locations here.
- BRING CANDY or DONATE MONEY. Candy buckets are located in both the foyer of the Dome lobby and the Grace Kids lobby. You can also donate directly to this ministry opportunity through the church center app and select “Light the Night – Candy” in the drop down menu.
- PRAY. Most importantly we need our whole church praying for families across our community to encounter the love of Christ.
If you are interested in serving at one of the locations or if you would like to “Light the Night” from your own home, there will be a brief meeting with Pastor Jacob in the FLC after service on Sunday to give more information and assignments. We will provide candy, connect cards and instructions for you to “Light the Night” in your own neighborhood!
This is an incredible outreach opportunity happening all across Hernando County.
Let’s shine the love and light of Jesus in our community! Jenna and I look forward to seeing you on Sunday morning!
PS – Men, don’t forget to join us for Flannel & Flapjacks this Saturday morning at 9am! Bring your friend, your dad, your son, your uncle, your brother, your barber, your mechanic, your neighbor for breakfast with the guys. Come hungry and sporting your fall flannel!
