This Means War!

No doubt you feel it in your spirit. There is a battle for the heart and soul of our nation.  The enemy is relentless and desires to kill, steal and destroy all that God has created and called good.  He wants to destroy the churches across the nation.  He has rejoiced as COVID lockdowns and restrictions has caused a 40% drop in weekly worship attendance.  He has celebrated the division created along racial and political lines.  He has sat back and watched the infighting amongst brothers and sisters within the body of Christ.  He has championed the destruction within homes through an increase in pornographic activity, separation in marriages and the backsliding of sons and daughters.  

Paul wrote that, “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12).  

It’s true. There is a war waging right now and it is not with people, it is with principalities.  There is as an unseen world that is working against you and your family seeking your destruction. 

But I’ve got good news! Jesus said that He came the you might have life and life in full!  He came so that you, your marriage, your home, your family would experience true life.  A fulfilled life!  He has equipped you and given you power tools to not only push back the enemy, but to overcome and stand in victory.  Paul also wrote, “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds” (2 Corinthians 10:4).

So yes, there is a war raging all around you.  Yes, the enemy is hell bent on destroying you, but you are already a victor!  You’ve already overcome and everything you need to stand strong in this moment has been supplied in the life of our Savior.  

This Sunday we begin a new series, “Spiritual Warfare”.  We are going to learn to fight with faith, fight from above, and fight from victory.  More than that, you are going to see victory in your life, marriage and family!

It’s a great time to get plugged in and battle ready!
